In my 20 years as an amateur musician, this is the single best instructional thing I've ever bought. I can't believe the first reviewer said you could have figured this out for yourself - you would have figured out swung triplets on your own?!!! Come on, guy. And yes, you could learn this stuff off websites, but you'll have to do a lot of digging. This gives it all to you in one package and the DVD is worth 10,000 words. Sandy is a goof, but a TERRIFIC teacher too. (And you gotta love his accent!) The included book and CD takes you a bit deeper, and even has backing tracks to practice with. After you finish this, move on to the next package in the series (like Rock Drum 1&2) because you will already have your Drum Basics down!

Why pay 40$ a lesson. When you can just get this. It teaches you the same things a lesson would maybe more. It has great value. I would say this is when of the best drum lesson videos I have ever saw.

It is great for begginers. Before I got it I didn't know anything. Now I'm good.

It was short and sweet. Not much to it, that you could not have figured out for yourself, or using a free online web site lesson. I am sorry it was not returnable - like the rest of the series I purchased.

Very systematiclly builds on the basics and develops the material very simply yet systematically for a total novice to drumming. Excellent for new drummers...
