Albert King Signature Licks is very disappointing considering Andy Aledort is an associate editor with Guitar World. He knows the value of tablature, he sells them in his mag but this DVD comes with none. He wastes an entire section showing us what it would be like to play a left handled guitar upside down (like Albert King). OK, I get it, how about what notes you hit in the 8 note riff? No info. He plays a section at tempo, the plays each riff individually slightly slower, then moves on. No tab, seldom references which strings he hits (expect for two string bends), etc. This one is very hard to follow unless you really have your chops down and ears open. Great material, but without tab, there are no close ups of the left hand to really see what he is doing half the time. Good material, just a poor effort in my opinion. If you are good enough to pick it up at the pace he goes, you probably could just listen to the album. Disappointing effort.
