i got this book 2 years ago when i frist got my bass. it teaches you basics and what not but it really bored me when i was practicing. so if you buy this prepared to be bored. if you dont want to be take lessons or something. ive been fine for 2 years and im one of the best ones in my band. i have a great knowledge of my instrument. so try teaching yourself without a book before you buy this.

This book has taught me everything I know! It is excellent, and alot of fun!It also has some really fun songs. When you use this book make sure you use the Cd, it is very helpful to hear how it goes and to stay in time. Overall, I would suggest it to all players alike! I would also suggest FastTrack Bass Songbook 1, and FastTrack Bass Book 2 they are very helpful on the road to bein a bass player.

I've never done a review before, but I simply had to rate this one! I've bought 3 bass books a month ago, and the other two weren't satisfying at all, but Fast Track is great!!! I've worked thru half the book in 1 month, practising an hour a day. My fingers are much stronger now and it's so much fun, because it's not about boring theory and endless scale-practice. The riffs and songs are accompanied on CD, you feel like playing in a band already ! Thumbs up for this book ! Hope I'll be playing like Steve Harris, soon !
