This is a somewhat bare-bones book & cd package, but it does what it does pretty well. The book is fairly thin, with very little in the way of explanations or text other than the tab for each of the examples on the cd. There are 70 tracks on the cd, and most of them are useful in learning new rhythms/techniques. There is a good amount of variety, and you'll learn some (from my experience) obscure chord inversions. This more a "learn by doing" lesson, I guess. I tend to put the cd on and play along with all/most of the examples, all the way through the whole cd, which is about 35 minutes long, I think.

Overall, this is a fun, informative package, but don't expect much in the way of frills or filler.
