Best Book on Fender Basses EVER

This book is one of three books available on Fender's website store (which just happens to be sold out on Fender's site, so buy it here!), and by far the best in my opinion. If you love or own the Fender P/J bass, this book should be number one on your most wanted coffee table / reference book list. As the title states: “The Fender Bass: An Illustrated History” it’s just that. The book is filled with original photos, ads, brochures, NAAM press releases, newspaper clippings, and Fender propaganda that span the 50ys of Fender's history (1951-2001). The forward of the book is written by “Sting”. Some other items in the book that might of interests are; Changes over the years, hardware, S/N and date locations, decal changes, a photographic tour of the production line, lots of close up photos, etc... This is a great book for collectors as well. The only down side to this book I felt was its lack of coverage of the Fender Artists Signature Series Basses. The book’s focus is all on Fender's production line of P/J basses and other models that have come and gone over the five decades. But all in all I love this book as much as I love my Jazz bass. Get this book. You won’t be disappointed.
