I own this book and it covers a little of everything. Great for anyone beginner or experienced, pretty much any genre, acoustic or electric etc. An encyclopedia for the guitar that covers a bit of everything and has some helpful theory. Interesting to read and helpful to play along with.

I love The Guitar Handbook! It pretty much covers everything you need to know about acoustic and electric guitars. It covers care-taking and maintenance, how to play guitar (it even has a full index of chords at the end of the book), wiring diagrams and much, much more! You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars on all these books when The Guitar Handbook covers pretty much covers everything. Buy it!

this book has been a great reinforcement tool for me. i wish i had it when i was studying music theory in high school. they would have thought i was a GENIUS. the diagrams and the language are staightforward and easy to follow. it's very helpful in terms of learning the relationships b/w notes, scales and chords. good book

It covers the basics of just about everything, but doesn't go into enough detail on some subjects. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about the guitar. How to work on it, maintain it, play it, or just to find out more about it.
