I purchased the House of Blues Guitar Level 1 (DVD) and I must say that it's fantastic. The instructor, John McCarthy is one bad-ass guitar player and he explains everything clearly and when he shows you something the camera gets really close so it's easy to see exactly what string and what fret he's on. I've made more progress in the past three weeks than I did in the last three years learning on my own. I went to the website and used the free password that comes with the DVD, and downloaded some backing tracks to play along with. It's great to practice with! I've gone from strumming chords to playing leads in three weeks. (Practicing an hour a day) I plan on buying the other DVDs in the House of Blues series. It's a fun way to learn.
