Two things you should know before buying: Blackwell is not the greatest teacher ever and this DVD isn't much of an instructional DVD. However John Blackwell is one of the most incredible drummers you will ever hear. You can still learn alot from the DVD just by watching. A good buy.

This DVD is such a great piece of drumming instruction that I hardly know where to start. Multiple camera angles, great sound quality, drumming history, many hours of great variety and content, good to great explainations of how to do what he does. And what he does is like no other! He plays the drums like he invented them! But really, if your an intermediate to advanced drummer you will truely learn a great deal from this DVD-for years to come. Styles covered are Funk/Jazz for the most part, but he does some things that are just so heavy that they can be applied to rock and metal (whatever) to get a truely unique sound. You won't go wrong with this purchase!
