At first glance, this video looks like something off a cable access channel at 2am. But give it a second look. I was pissed when I first saw this, since it looked like crap. But a second look--especially at the tab feature---really paid off. As a beginner/intermediate guitarist, the tabs with riffs in the background really paid off. This DVD will not teach you entire songs, but it'll give you a good grasp of the riffs that all AC/DC and blues rock uses. For the price, you can't really go wrong...even if it does look cheap.

Purchasing about 10 of the 'In the Style of' series videos may have been the best investment I've made in my musical development. These videos don't teach you whole songs, they teach you the theory and techniques the songs use and do it in a positive, 'you can do it', way. With the knowledge from the videos, and by working at it, you can move forward to learn and figure out other bands songs easier and faster. His videos gave me the confidence to continue my formal music education, not just learn more songs. I now have an excellent understanding of music theory, play in multiple styles, and sit in on the fly with bands with little effort. Curt seems like a great guy and is definitely a great guitarist and teacher. Thanks Curt! I owe much of my success to you.

I cant believe what I got for my money. Played by someone who looks like that weird guy who lives in that shack behind that store and smokes those weird cigarettes. Here is what you get:

No song/track titles. Improperly played AC/DC using the cheat barchord only lazy way. Maybe 15 seconds of each song. Contrary to the back cover there is no portion that talks about "amps settings and guitar setup-how to get that ac/dc sound.

This dvd is pure garbage, you can come dig it out of my trash can, because i threw it in there after about 15 minutes of watching this.

This video is great in terms of instructional value, but it is cheap looking and Curt Mitchell sorta looks like a street bum who can play guitar well. It teaches you all of the popular AC/DC songs though and once you get used to it, you'll benefit. Oh, this is really for beginners.

Curt Mitchell does a great job with this video. It is step-by-step easy and I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to jam with Angus.
